School may be out for the summer, but that doesn't mean learning has to stop! CropKing has partnered with EarthEcho International to provide fun and engaging content to aid teachers or parents in discussions about hydroponics, greenhouse growing, local food, climate change, and sustainable agricultural practices. Our latest activity was a live virtual tour of our hydroponic greenhouse in Lodi, Ohio.
EarthEcho International's mission is to inspire young people worldwide to act now for a sustainable future. They were founded in 2000 by siblings Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau in honor of their father Philippe Cousteau Sr., son of the legendary explorer Jacques Yves Cousteau. Philippe Sr.’s belief in “a world where every single child can breathe fresh air, drink clean water, and walk on green grass under a blue sky” serves as their vision. Their approach is simple—to provide the tools and interactive resources to equip youth in identifying and solving the environmental challenges in their own communities.
CropKing has always valued education and training in the controlled environment agriculture space, and our partnership with EarthEcho allows us to help promote sustainable farming systems, educate about hydroponics and inspire the next generation of growers and business owners. Our classroom initiatives supply school districts across the country with hydroponic systems and laboratories engineered specifically for the instruction, experimentation and hands-on learning of students of all ages.
