and HydroStacker Commercial Hydroponic Strawberry System Enjoy your coffee and breakfast as you go on this exclusive behind the scenes at The Land at Epcot tour to explore the wonders of growing food plants from around the globe! Wander through greenhouses that provide a living, ever-changing show for thousands of Epcot guests every day of the year! 
This tour is not available to the general public and is in conjunction with the Epcot Science staff.
You will get to meet the Epcot horticulturists, agronomists, and college interns and
let them show you how they grow a wide diversity of crops using a
variety of unique hydroponic growing systems. Talk with plant
pathologists and entomologists from Epcot about the beneficial insects
and other integrated pest management strategies that they use to
manage pest problems in these working greenhouses.Find out what's going on in the Biotechnology Lab at The Land, sponsored by USDA-ARS. Talk to biological engineers about environmental monitoring systems in the greenhouses and weighing lysimeters that manage the plants' water use and save water and nutrients in the process! Bring your questions and your cameras, and have fun! After that stop, we will travel to a commercial hydroponic strawberry opperation using the hydrostacker technology. This U-Pick farm has 50,000 strawberry plants, and also grows other hydroponic vegetables. The $60 tour fee ($100 if not registered for the conference) covers the cost of breakfast and bus transportation from the hotel for the tour. This tour will be offered on BOTH Thursday November 10th and Sunday November 13th leaving from the hotel at 6:30 AM and will return mid afternoon to the hotel.
