"Our students absolutely
loved it!" teacher, after a field trip
to CropKing's Hydroponic Greenhouse
Dear Educator,
Add some excitement to your class field
trips this year by bringing your students to
CropKing's Hydroponic Greenhouse in Seville, Ohio!
Informative - educational - exciting!
Students of all ages, from 1st grade to 12th grade will enjoy touring our state of the art,
computer controlled hydroponic greenhouse! Let them learn about the cycle of life...botany,
science, agriculture, by doing "hands-on" activities and by seeing how hydroponics puts food on
their plates!
Your students will see many of the types of hi-tech hydroponic systems that are seen at
Epcot Center's Land Pavillion, in Orlando! (We've even provided them with some of the products they
use in their hydroponic tourist attraction!)
Lesson Plans and Free Video for use prior to your tour!
Schedule a tour within the next 30 days and we'll provide you
with free, pre-tour hydroponic lesson
plans that you can teach in the class room before your visit to build interest
and enthusiasm for the field trip. We'll also provide you with post tour activities so that your
students can enjoy building a simple, low cost hydroponic system in the classroom from materials they
can bring from home! There's no better way to learn than by seeing and doing! We'll also provide
you with a free, 30 minute introductory video on
hydroponics to show to your class prior to the tour!
What will your students see on the tour?

See how commercial farmers around the world are growing high value specialty crops,
without soil, and without the use of harmful chemical pesticides!
Learn what NASA is doing in hydroponic research for providing fresh produce for space
station astronauts of the future!
Your students will take a guided, 45-50 minute tour through a 5,000 sq.ft. greenhouse
that features the latest in hi-tech hydroponic growing systems. Some hydroponic systems are
used commercially, throughout the world, to produce food crops like tomatoes, lettuce,
cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, and herbs! Some systems are still in the design stages...unique, new,
and different systems that even Epcot Center doesn't have yet!
They'll see hydroponics, the science of growing without soil, as well as aquaculture (raising
fish indoors!), and aquaponics which is the science of combining hydroponics with aquaculture!
Your students will vividly see the cycle of life where tilapia and yellow perch waste water is used to
grow hydroponic crops!
There will be plenty of time for questions and answers during and after the tour. Plus,
each student will be provided with a detailed, written explanation of hydroponics, and how it will
affect their future!
This is a field trip that your students won't soon forget
and a great educational opportunity
to interest and inform your students! Please contact us
at 1-800-321-5211 to schedule your field trip, or you may email us at
tours@cropking.com. Thank you and we look forward to your
visit with us soon!
Sincerely,
Dan Brentlinger, President
